In pursuit of achieving our mission to create a high-quality school experience that cherishes and affirms every student, particularly Black and Brown students, Innovate Public Schools proudly champions the Leadership Institute, formerly known as the Jose Arenas Parent Leadership Institute, as a catalyst for change. Since our establishment, we’ve empowered over 1,000 Parent Leaders and Community Advocates from 22 states across the nation through the comprehensive leadership development programs we offer, including the Jose Arenas Parent Leadership Institute.
This flagship program offers a transformative experience designed to cultivate leadership, empower families, and drive civic engagement within marginalized communities. The Leadership Institute plays a key role in fostering education equity. By encouraging parents and caretakers to lead educational change, we are also creating opportunities for them to be civically engaged. This ensures that the unique needs and perspectives of these communities are represented at a societal level.
