Innovate acknowledges the critical role parents play in enhancing the education system. However, we also understand that the term ‘parent’ does not fully represent the diverse array of caring adults who contribute to a child’s development. That’s why we have rebranded the Parent Leadership Institute to the Leadership Institute.
This program is tailored for community leaders and advocates committed to seeing underserved students, especially Black and Brown students, thrive in school and beyond. Participants engage in an immersive experience at the Leadership Institute, where they explore our community organizing model and learn how to effectively apply organizing principles to drive transformative change in education.
What You’ll Gain
Our program trains participants on the four cycles of our community organizing model, delivered by a team of seasoned trainers experienced in community organizing. The Leadership Institute provides participants with both the knowledge and practical skills required for real-world impact.

- Focus on Underserved Students: Advocacy aimed at improving educational outcomes for underserved communities, especially Black and Brown students.
