Hannah Gravette is the Regional VP in Los Angeles for Innovate Public Schools. She brings with her over a decade of grassroots community organizing experience.
In 2016, she joined the Innovate team as the Sr. Manager of National organizing, where she led the Community Organizer Training Program and the Parent Leader Institute. In 2018 she became the founding organizing director for our work in Los Angeles. Prior to joining Innovate, she was the lead organizer for the San Diego Organizing Project, an affiliate of the PICO National Network.
As an organizer, she worked with faith and community leaders to develop their grassroots leadership and build power to demand more accountability from public systems and institutions. Her work has resulted in new accountability mechanisms in local city budget processes, shifting $3 billion away from incarceration and into community prevention and intervention programs, and the creation of a health Hot Spot program that has become a model for delivery system reforms and managed care payment reform throughout the country. Prior to community organizing, Hannah worked as a social worker.
Hannah is a Rotary Club ambassadorial scholar and holds a Masters degree in Public Policy from the University of Mumbai in India. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband and son.
